Hotel The Plaza..

hubby has booked the accommodation for the day prior to the exam since last week. we have planned to stay in Hotel The Plaza which is located in Tallaght,Dublin, a few minutes drive away from the exam centre which is also in tallaght.

we headed off to dublin on the day before the exam. hubby brought with him all the books that he could carry, including the one that he never opened before. when i asked, he said, its for the sake of feeling calm in heart. even though he did not read the book, bringing them together with him makes he feels better. ;p i laughed at the idea because i used to do the same when i was a student.

anyway, with the help of sat-nav, it is not difficult to find the hotel. according to hubby, it is a 4 stars hotel.wow,that is great as the price we have paid for an overnight stay in that hotel is not as expensive as we have thought would be for the 4 stars hotel. 50 euros for a double bed room with en suite. not bad. everybody knows that Dublin has a very expensive cost of living. maybe the price is getting cheaper with recession, i guess.

(to be honest, since we were married, we never stayed in any expensive hotel. everytime we went for travel,be it when we were a student or now,as a doctor, we always choose the cheapest accommodation available to save money, which also includes sleeping overnight in the airport for the next day morning flight. do u still remember this,hubby??when we slept on the floor in rome's airport?? ;p berbantalkan luggage dan beralaskan towel, and mkn mknn bekal kite kat situ. cam org homeless je kite kan??tp tu la kenangan yg best! oh, ingat x lagi kite jalan2 sesat barat kat rome cari taxi dari train station yg sunyi sepi,ms tu nakgi airport.malam tu gelap betul,xde org pon yg lalu lalang yg kite boleh ty direction.yg ade pon yg kacau2 kite.sy siap nak nangis lagi ms tu sbb takut.nasibbaik awak ade...)

anyway, we arrived with a high expectation in mind,yelah,1st time we stayed in this so-called 4 stars hotel.haha.cam jakun je kan . looking from outside, the hotel looks huge, with spacious parking lots. the reception area was also spacious, and..err simple with its decoration. so far so good. but my expectation died right away when hubby came back from checking in at the counter and told me that the lift is not working. he was told the same by the receptionist. i was like, waht???4 stars hotel, and the lift is not working??huhu.something that i really did not expect to happen.

since our room was on the second floor, we have to climb up the stairs. we were lucky, though.it would be much worst we were given the top floor,x larat!!

anyway, we reached the room. it was not that big, but okayla... everything looks perfect. the wifi coverage was the most important thing, and it was perfect in that room. full bar. the bed was very cosy, and the windows were huge! terpaksa tutup sbb segan nak bukak tudung takut org nmpk.

after exploring the room, we were very satisfied despite our first encounter with the broken lift. haha..yg nak citer nye, something funny happened afterwards.

i was trying to switch on the tv but failed after many times. i have made sure that i turned on the button on the tv,turned it on using remote control, and i even checked on the powerpoint, everything was intact, but yet, the tv is still off. i thought, maybe the tv was broken. fine. i thought maybe God does not want us to watch tv but to study only. so, takpela.pasrah...then,

i went to the toilet, tried to switched on the light in it, but, it was still dark. no light. pelik. takkan takde elektrik kot. takkan 4 stars hotel xde elektrik. i even made several attempts switching on other lights and lamp in the room, tp semua x nyala...xde elektrik ke??

after everything i tried failed, i told hubby. hubby also repeated what i did before, by checking all the lights and the tv. after several minutes trying, baru hubby teringat sthg, hubby bagitau ' ade sstgh hotel kan, kene gune card tau utk switch on electric'. iye??i dont know that. so,together, we searched around the room for the card and the card slot. the card slot was actually located very near to the door. when we found it,we then put the card in the slot. and u know what happened next???our room tetibe terang benderang, tv tetibe terpasang, and lampu toilet pon nyala...

and we looked at each other...staring...and laughed out loud!!!haha...we were so jakun...malu!hehe... nampak sgt jrg stay kat hotel mahal..haha...

nothing much happened the rest of the day other than studying. huhu...xm punye psl...

(thinking about it again, the moment we laughed out loud for our silliness will always be fresh in my mind. haha...lawak kan bang?? jakun betul kite dua,kan??hehe...lainkali jgn buat malu sy lagi tau ;p)
