ANC

today, marked the 4th time i went for the antenatal clinic appointment. the first ANC i had was when i was 8 weeks pregnant, followed with 12 weeks booking visit on my 2nd appointment. i had my 3rd visit for the anomaly scan sometime at the end of march which shortly followed with meeting with one of the doctors a few days after that.

as for today, i went early to CUMH. we arrived a few minutes before 10am which was just nice for me to check in as the queve took me several minutes before i can sit down waiting to be called. as usual, the waiting room was full with pregnant mothers, husbands, and children. this time, the time seemed to fly fast as i brought along with me an MRCP mcq questions to read while waiting to be called by the nurse.

I was lucky, hubby was on leave this week, thus able to accompany me for this visit. it felt different when my husband was by my side, as if he gave me some motivational support and encouragement to me, even though he did not say so.

after 15 minutes waiting, i was called into one of the rooms by the nurse. got my urine,BP, Hb checked. i was asked general questions about my well-being. so far so good, even though the nurse found a trace of protein in my urine. she send 2nd sample to the lab to recheck on it.

not long after that, i was called again by prof Greene, the consultant to enter the consultation room. so, there i went with my hubby. after brief Q&A session, i was asked to lie down on the bed for a quick scan to look at the baby's growth. so far so good. baby is doing fine, growing well. Doppler was normal, and the growth matched with the estimated due date. Alhamdulilllah. prof Greene told me that the baby is now weighing 1.2 kg, still too small but making a good progress. Alhamdulillah. syukur...

a few minutes after that, we went out of the room with relief in mind. well, this time, it only took us 1 and half hours overall spending time in the clinic. a short one, alhamdulillah. i still remember the last time when i had to spend almost whole day in the clinic, from 10am till 3pm for the check-up. that was crazy. but this time around, we finished early. i thought i could finish at least 20mcqs while waiting, but instead, i only managed to attempt 13 mcqs. hehe...

well, the exam is somehow just around the corner. two weeks from now. i started to have this butterfly in the stomach , worrying about the exam. yesterday, we met Fitri who passed his MRCP part 1 at the second attempt, which is quite impressive. (many more tried more than 3 times to pass the part 1 exam, somebody i heard attempted 7 times before he passed the xm).according to him, he attempted all questions in www.onexamination.com which comprises of more than 2000 mcq questions before the exam. i was like, what???!!! to get 50 mcq questions done in a day was more than ok for me. but 2000 mcqs???means that have to at least do 200mcq starting from now. wow...huhu.i wonder when i can do that...

okayla...penat plak menaip lama2...nak gi makan strudel plak..hehe...till then, wassalam...
