Inchydoney and Bon Fire

sekali lagi (ehe,mcm xde agenda lain ;p) kami pergi ke Inchydoney.
hubby insisted to go there lps balik keje, konon2 nak mandi laut sbb hari ni sgt cerah dan panas. plus, the day will be wasted if we just stay indoor. lagi2 panas yg best mcm hari ni...best mkn ice cream tepi pantai...

kami bertolak pukul 6.30pm. since skrg summer, pukul 6.30 pon makin cerah.siang sgt panjang,subuh pukul 3.15 am lebih kurang,sampai maghrib pukul 10pm. jadinye, 6.30 ptg tu cerah tang tang lagi.

kami smpai Inchydoney pukul 7.47pm. angin sepoi2 bahasa. best. air pulak tgh pasang. kami hampar kain fleece, dan bekal2 nasi dan lauk pauk. hubby yg konon2 nak main air agak hesitant nak mandi, sbb katenya air sejuk. in the end, kitorg bersantai sambil mkn nasi, dan melihat org2 sekitar. sungguh seronok melihat anjing2 bermain bersama tuannya di tepi laut.tuannya baling bola, dan anjing tanduk bola.takpun, tuan anjing baling bola ke dlm laut, terkocoh2 anjing berusaha mendapatkan bola tu kembali di tgh laut.habis bsh2 semua. sgt playful anjing2 kat sini. comel. kdg2 kami gelakkan anjing tu sbb x jumpe bola yg dibaling oleh tuannya. puas mencari di atas pasir, x jumpa. tuan anjing juga yg kene tunjukkan anjing di mana bola tersebut. kelakar...

sejam lebih kami bersantai di Inchydoney. hubby sgt interested tgk org main kayak. konon2nya impian dia la nak beli kayak/kapal satu. hehe...tapi air sejuk pon takut nak mandi. budak2 Irish seronok je mandi manda, biarpun air sejuk.

tak lama lps tu, kami pulang. perut pon dh kenyang. sesampainya kami di Cork dr Inchydoney, kami melihat asap hitam berkepul2 ke langit. ingatkan ade rumah terbakar. adelah 2-3 tempat dilihat dr kejauhan penuh dgn asap hitam tebal.rupa2nya, hari ini adalah hari Bon Fire kat Ireland. mengikut wikipedia;

A bonfire is a large controlled outdoor fire. The word is a contraction of "bone fire". The practice is believed to derive from the Celtic festival of Samhain when animal bones were burnt to ward off evil spirits. Today the practice is still common in Ireland, with bonfires commonly lit for Halloween night, as well as Midsummer in some areas.

In Ireland, bonfires are held on the night of 31 October to celebrate Halloween. In certain areas of Ireland, particularly in Limerick, bonfires are held on 30 April to celebrate the festival of Beltane. In the west and south of Ireland, 'Bonfire Night' is held on the night of 23 June to celebrate St John's Eve.

Nine types of wood are commonly placed into a traditional Wiccan balefire. Collectively these are known as "The Nine Woods" or "Nine Woods". These woods are Birch (representing The Goddess, or female energy), Oak (representing The God, or male energy), Hazel (representing knowledge and wisdom), Rowan (Mountain Ash) (representing life), Common Hawthorn (representing purity and fairy magick), Willow (representing death), Fir (representing birth and rebirth), Apple (representing love and family), and Vine. In some regions, superstition, religious belief, or tradition prohibits the cutting of certain trees, most notably in Witchcraft customs the Elderberry tree; "Elder be ye Lady's tree, burn it not or cursed ye'll be" --A rhyme from an Oral tradition.

kata hubby, hari bonfire ni,kdg2 diorg( especially budak2 jahat) curi dan bakar kereta. oo...tapi besar betul api pembakaran bonfire ni. terasa mcm sebuah rumah terbakar je. biasanya pembakaran dilakukan di kwsn perumahan anak2 dol (homeless people) kat sini.

tak smpat nak amek gambar bonfire td. sbb ms tu kat atas kereta. dan dh malam pon, huby pon x sabar nak balik rumah utk berehat since he will be oncall again the next day.

all in all, hari ni penuh dgn aktiviti bersama dgn hubby. ehe...org kata, hargai ms berdua sblm bertiga. ye tak??hehe...x sabar nak tunggu ms bertiga nanti...
