Shandon Street Festival...

this afternoon, after much persuasion from me for hubby to get ready, we eventually out of the house for shopping exactly @ 12.15 noon. first shop we had been to was Aisya's. As we plan to have small gathering today with our close frens here, i went to Aisya to buy 15 marinated tandoori chicken legs.

first thing we noticed when we arrived Shandon Street where Aisya's shop is located was that the shops along that street was decorated with colourful balloons. not knwoing what is going on, i asked hubby. it seemed that we both have no clue what is going on on that street. luckily, before we entered Aisya's, we spot an advertisement on the shop's window informing about Shandon Street Festival that is happened today from 12 noon till 6pm.

I supposed we were 'langkah kanan' to arrive in that venue exactly just before the event started. just after we ordered the chicken legs from the butcher, we started to hear drums and people singing. i asked for excuse from hubby to go to that place since hubby has to wait for the butcher to get our order ready. since it was still early, people were not too many. but just before we left the venue, people started to gather at the place and it became crowded.

anyway, the festival was not happening as what we used to have back in Malaysia. they have few food stalls selling crepes, pizzas, and kebabs. other stalls sell souvenirs, some sells toys, and there are corners where the artist offers free face painting for kids (there was long queve for this) , and the 'balloon man' performs wonders by giving free balloon with different form to kids. (ala,yg tiup and bentuk2 kan belon to jadi anjing la, bentuk love la etc)

we were lucky to be there at the right place and time. xtahu pon ade event ni sbnrnye.
anyway, here are some pictures snapped by me during the event. x lama pon kami kat sini sbb kene balik takut kete kene clamped sbb tak gune parking disc. ehe..
